Activistuenza

More random thoughts from the west end. I guess that the students at Brown University in Rhode Island are having to deal with so much stress because of their political activism that they need special treatment. Are they kidding me? Brown is an Ivy League school where the education is supposed to be so much superior to that of all other University's that aren't Ivy League. So let us look at this closer. They can't go to class and do homework, because of their political activism. They are having health problems, and are under too much stress. Well welcome to the real world. When they get out into the "real" world, and out of the socialist cocoon that is college, they will be ill prepared. Never mind that they are there to get an education so they can go out and pollute the world with whatever ideology they were indoctrinated in. Their sole purpose in college is to pass, so they can make their's and everyone's life better. Everything is put on hold for 4 years, while they get a leg up on life. What are they going to call this affliction; something like academuenza, or activistuenza. They are misguided, or just plain lazy. They need to understand that the world isn't going to change to suit their shortcomings. It is no wonder that we are lagging behind in academics, when our elite students can't even bring their "A" game in college. I have had to work my way through college. I worked three jobs, one of which I risked my life doing. Another of which fed me, literally. Do you think they would work for food, if they had to? I don't think so. I still had to do what is important in the moment. Get an education then change the world, not both at the same time, because it appears that they are too weak to do either. So they should stick to what they know, which is whining and moaning about how hard it is to be a student at Brown. I am sorry I can't feel for someone who is not smart enough to know their own limitations. Suck it up buttercup, and be an adult. Finally, this begs the question? Is the education at Ivy League schools still a superior education? Can a student get a better education, or even a better indoctrination if that is their thing, at another, less expensive, school. If I were the parents of an Ivy League student I would be upset, and want my money back. It is one thing to be indoctrinated, and quite another to be coddled.
