Wayne Anker Magnusen Sr. 1964-2023

                                          Wayne Anker Magnusen Sr.

                                 1964-2023

In Remembrance of a Brother

I learned of the passing of my good friend Wayne A. Magnusen Sr. or Wayne. Wayne and I had been friends since were 9 years old, some 50 years. We have been friends since either of us could remember. We were akin to brothers, as neither one of us had brothers, just sisters. Wayne was part of our family.

Wayne was my friend through the hard part of my life. The part of my life when the world had a problem with me, and I had a problem with the world. He was my friend when it was socially unacceptable to be such. Just like a brother does.  I appreciated that. For years he was the only friend that I had. We never once quarreled over money or girls. Our friendship was beyond both. Wayne was a good and decent man.

Wayne was a patriot, who served his country honorably, in both the United States Air Force 1983-1989, and the United States Army, 1990-1994. Wayne cared deeply for his family and his country. Wayne was a smart, resourceful, hard, and industrious worker. We worked a couple of jobs together, including for my father.

Wayne will be remembered as a good and decent man, who worked hard and took care of his family all of his life. Rest easy brother, you earned it, and when you see the old man, tell him Marvin broke the door.

Rest In Peace Brother

We remember Wayne Magnusen Sr, our friend, brother, father and grandfather. Wayne is survived by his sister Cheryl, Uncle Mel, daughters, Crystal, and Jessica, and his son Wayne Jr. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother Carol Foster, his beloved wife Sylvia, his uncle, and grandparents. Rest easy brother, you earned it, and when you see the old man, tell him Marvin broke the door.

In requiem of a Fratris

Too many to mourn, one less to see,

May the Lord forgive him of his deeds,

May the Lord show him mercy for his sins,

The world was better for him having come.

And a darker one for him having gone.

In memoriam Fratris

Requiescat Fratris

"Here is the bicycle, I am returning the favor, your family gave me a bike, and a father at a time when I had neither. I appreciated it."
