I listened to the song, Games That Daddies Play, by Conway Twitty for years. I then got involved with a woman with a child that didn't have a father. I brought him into the family, so he could get an idea of how the family operates. The boy needed a positive male influence in his life to show him how to be a good man. I did the best I could to make sure that he grew up to be a good and decent man. He and I are still close. He is a good and decent family man. They have the same kind of family we had when I was young. He was loved and accepted into our family as if he were blood. I have been around him since he was 9 years old. I saw wrong and did the best I could to make it right. I made mistakes with him, and we had some rough spots, but I never gave up on him, and he never gave up on me.   Just a small thought on college football players. It has been said that the Heisman winner, was making 6 figures before the start of this season. This is because as we all know, now college athletes must be compensated for their time, above the free education they get. So now some football players are opting out of bowl games, because they don't want to get injured, the idea being, (correctly or incorrectly) that they will go to the NFL. That is hogwash. the football players are making 6 figures, because of commercial endorsements. So now, hey can pay for their own insurance, room and board, and tuition. The college needs to quit subsidizing these players. Also, if you commit to play on a team, and you make 6 figures because of that team, you are an employee, and therefore are contracted to play, whether it benefits you or not.
