Generational Divide

These millennial, who eat tide pods, have to have safe spaces, have to beg instructors in college to give them more time on assignments because the education (that they are paying for I might add) is interfering with their activism. Generation Z doesn't know what gender they are, and has never been made to be responsible for anything. Been coddled by mommy and daddy. They call us names. Both generations can kiss my a**, please pardon my vulgarity. These kids act like we don't do anything. That we just sit and meekly go with the flow. Like we didn't have to fight AIDS, while under the threat of nuclear annihilation, and still had to be productive members of society, so they wouldn't have to. We are homophobic, and racist, and all that crap, like our generation started that. We didn't start it. but life is a damn sight better for minorities than when we were born. A great deal of positive social change has become about in the last 30 years. The First African American President is a Gen X'er. Do we need more social change, yes we do, but these youngsters need to understand what life would be like if the Boomers were in charge, and there were no Gen X'ers. When we hit the Job market the economy wasn't booming, like the Boomers, and the Millennial's, and Y'ers. We hit the job market, it was in the middle of a recession. Work was scarce, we didn't have the luxury of choosing a "career." We had to obtain a vocation. Either through work, education or a combination of both, in order to eat. The youngsters think it is their right to start a job or "career" at the top, not have to work for anything. It is taught in grade school, High school, and college. It is pathetic. A bunch of lazy spoiled children who think they know more than they do, and show daily how much about life they really don't know, but are too arrogant to admit that what they don't know. So to all Gen X'ers; does that sound like someone you were or knew. If the millennial's, and the Y'ers are the future of this country, that does not bode well for this country. They think they are going to change the world, and make the world conform to their view of it. Just like we did when we were young, and they will get the same rude awakening we did. They need to shut up about us, and go back to their safe spaces, and just be what they have always been; the coddled spoiled children. Obviously they haven't grown up enough to sit at the grown up table.
