 There was a time when I so disliked the Bush family. My dislike stemmed from HW and his stupid policy of kicking disabled people off of Social Security, so as to make it more solvent. His policy dictated that my 56 year old father who had a degenerative auto immune disease, and was missing his entire right wrist. Later on he would have elbow replacement surgery, the second one ever done. They made my disabled father go back to work, while he fought the government. It pissed me off. The subsequent years of work, shortened his life span bby ten or so years. I never did like HW much anyway. anyway.

Then along comes W, his son as President. W then tried to do the same thing his father did, only to me. He started trying to privatize social Security, thus keepin the money I had put in up to that point, which was about 20 years or so of working and paying into. That pissed me off. So along comes the recession he caused, and again, I am the one who pays, and gets nothing. That never happened. 

Then 9/11 happens, and W shows leadership ability that I don't believe he possessed. He showed through his administration, that he could be a ok President. he is neither the worst or the best. I came to soften my harsh opinion of him. Now I see him in a different light .He isn't as bad as I thought. Post President he has become something of a statesman. I would seek his advice on matters of politics, and the POTUS. He is a decent human being hat was thrus into a difficult situation, and has done well with it..

 I had been prepping all my life for the death of my parents. When one day the hospital called and said come see your father if you want to see him alive again. So I did. I got to see him. I told him that I was ok now, and would be ok later. We had made peace about 10 years before that. We were in a good spot, Which was funny, we were never really in a bad place, we just didn't see eye to eye. I got a call a week later from my mother that he had passed. So I drove 4 hours through the early morning hours, crying and mourning my father. All that prepping that I had thought I did, turned out to be a lie. Because I wasn't prepared at all.   You can't help anyone move forward if they can't get out of their own way. Those Appalachian states get more money from the government than they pay in taxes. Why not use that money to retrain people to do a job with more of a 20-year life expectancy. Maybe then there won't be so many "people dying i the street." He needs to look at himself, and the poor, and put some of the blame on them, before he goes blaming others. Look in the mirror, then out the window.  Too bad for the firefighters. They get what they get. They made their bed, time to sleep. That is what happens when you get involved in politics. Thayer Immigration Initiative

I proposed this about a decade ago. No one wanted to listen. This is my solution for the immigration problem. Thayer Immigration Initiative 1.   Declare six month immigration, amnesty, grace period or whatever you want to call it. 2.   Notify all illegal aliens that they must register within the time period in order to gain citizenship. 3.   Divide the country into sections along the lines of the United States District Courts. For the purpose of all legal proceedings concerning immigration. 4.   Aliens must prove that they have held a job are crime free, and have at least an 5 th grade understanding of the reading, writing, and speaking of English. 5.   Once they are registered, then confiscate their next three years Federal income tax as a fine for entering illegally.
