Documents Debacle
To all my FB friends, and foes, far and wide, nothing can be done legally to Biden for the documents debacle. Adjudication for crimes before he was President are not impeachable. So the House of Representatives can investigate all they wish, and subpoena just as much, but they are not going to be able to do much beyond that. No matter how they blather on. The crimes if there are any, occurred when he wasn’t President. If he is indicted the trial will be when he is out of office.
If Biden had known the documents were in his possession, and then
hid them, and told no one, and they were discovered, then that would be
Obstruction of Justice, and an impeachable offense. Even then any Impeachment
needs to get by the Senate, which is highly unlikely. So the whole affair would
be an exercise in stupidity, which is what the 118th Congress id
full of; stupid.
Now, if Biden had not voluntarily notified the National Archives,
and was caught, that would be Obstruction of Justice. Because there would be a
conscience of guilt, in that he hid them when he knew they were there. Once he
knew they were they were there his lawyers notified the National Archives. That
is the difference between Trump and Biden.
Trump lied about having them One of Trump's lawyers quit because he was asked
to sign off on there weren't any more documents at Mar Lago. Another of his
lawyer's did sign off that there were no more papers at Mar Lago, when in fact
there were, opening herself up to a credibility problem, and a possible perjury
indictment.
Now with all that said, we have another problem with government that has not
come to the forefront until recently. Documents. Government officials need to
generate documents to do their job properly, that is a given. They could just
destroy the documents then we wouldn't have this documents nonsense from both
sides. Thing is, what government officials do in the course of doing the
peoples business and governing, needs to be documented for an historical
record. That is why ALL documents generated by government officials is
government property, or property of the people. The people have designated the
National Archives to properly archive, and warehouse these documents. Our
problem is that the National Archives doesn't have the power to do anything
about the abuse of records. That abuse hasn't bit us in the butt as of yet, but
going like we are, with buffoons taking home and storing then in a closet or
next to a Corvette, the probability that this becomes a major, incident,
embarrassment, or issue, is high. We need to fix this now before we regret not
fixing it. Just sayin.
