 Efficiency, and productivity can  can be attained by the  manipulation of movement and space, to the point that speed is irrelevant and not necessary, and thus makes the task more safe.

United States Supreme Court Expansion

Supreme Court expansion is a bad idea. President Franklin Roosevelt, or FDR, tried it in 1937. Some of Roosevelt's more unconstitutional policies to help Americans during the Depression were struck down by the Supreme Court, or SCOTUS. So FDR decided to pass a law that made every SCOTUS Justice over a certain age, too old, and would have to be replaced by him. He could then appoint jurists who agreed with his policies.  The SCOTUS nomination process needs an update to come into the 21st Century. But expansion is not the solution. A better solution is a time limit as a SCOTUS Jurist. 20 years, then the jurist retires, and whoever is President in office gets to choose. Rotate the retirements to make sure every administration gets at least 1 SCOTUS choice, per administration. That is more fair and equitable for the people, and for justice.

A Changing Yuma

This week begins the changing landscape at 16th St and 4th Ave here in Yuma Arizona. The building formerly a doctor's office and another building formerly an auto parts store and a deli are now gone, razed and hauled to the recycling mill of our memory. The round  building that once housed a bank and gold pawn shop are next  along with the an old grocery store and movie theater next on the block sometime later in the year. With the Mortuary being the last vestige of Yuma the way it was. The retail shopping mall Southgate, has already suffered the same fate as the others. All of these buildings hold memories for those of us old enough to remember and those of us young enough to wonder. Christmas time was the best time of year at the mall. Checks And Balances

 The Federalist papers, are the foundation text of constitutional interpretation, and  are cited by American jurists and court systems in general.  Madison Understood that politicians and the individuals in public service would all have ideas that they were passionate about and that they wanted to enact. The federalist system was the solution to make sure that laws and ideas were not enacted by a small group of partisan individuals. To achieve this, the use of different levels of government had to be done by  different branches. Each branch having the authority to impact legislation proposed by other branches. One way Federalist 51 was able to encourage checks and balances was by emphasizing that justice was the end to which civil society aims.
