Bumpin Around in the San Joaquin

So I was bumpin around in the Central Valley of California, coming home from mt cousins place in Redding. It was hot, and there was too much traffic. I dawned on me that I hadn't been in that valley since I met my mother's second husband in Fresno for lunch on my way to Sac on Caltrans business in '08. The place had changed, and it had not. It was different. I saw the beginnings, or remnants or what you want to call it, of the high speed rail project in Fresno. It was a very nice looking bridge over a river. On my way home, I passed through Mohave Ca, near Edwards AFB. It dawned on me that the last time I was there too was the same trip for the state. I saw my father on Hwy 58. He had left my house at Mountain Pass to go to baby sisters house in San Diego. We stopped in Mohave and had breakfast at the Denny's. I never saw my mother's second husband again, as he had massive heart attack on I-10 in Houston on the side of the road in his truck. I saw the old man again, but he passed away about three months later. I was thinkin about this the other day. I hadn't thought of that in years. Just random thoughts. Anyway, back to the regularly scheduled political argument. Have a nice day one and all.
